Hajara Idris is a Registered Dietitian/ Nutritionist with the Institute for Dietetics in Nigeria, she obtained her Higher National Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics from Kaduna Polytechnic and Post Graduate Diploma in Nutrition (PGDN) from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (ABU).
Hajara Idris is also a member of Nutrition Society of Nigeria. Currently, Hajara holds the position of Assistant Chief Dietitian at Federal Teaching Hospital Katsina and she is the National financial secretary Women in Nigerian Union of Allied Health Professionals (WINUAHP) and also the Chairperson Trade Union Congress (TUCWC) Katsina state and President of Institute for Dietetics in Nigeria Katsina state chapter respectively. She had different online courses programmes on Nutrition which include Infant and young child feeding (IYCF), Nutrition Assessment Counselling and Support (NACS) and Management of Acute Malnutrition During Emergency (Outpatient Treatment of Severe Acute Malnutrition) organized by Tanzania Food and Nutrition Centre and obtained a certificate as a facilitator of composition Map Training of Diabetes Mellitus, among others, she has the passion on managing children with malnutrition, cancer and those with Diabetes mellitus
She is currently working at Federal Teaching Hospital Katsina as a Dietitian
